Building a Tradition of Fine Gun Dogs
Yesterday we lost one of the members of the "A-Team." Lady passed away of heart failure at 11 years of age. Her bright spirit and constantly wagging tail will be missed for years to come. If there's room in heaven for dogs, she's up there working a field for her master, Bill, as we speak. Rest in Peace Ladybird.

Here they are at 3 weeks of age. 5 girls and 3 boys.

Another successful trip! Tara, Jack and Lady really strutted their stuff and taught Kaline and Scout what a real hunting dog can do. The weather was great, the dogs were right on and the birds were a plenty. We already can't wait to go again next year and see how the new girls perform.

Michael and "Man's best friend" Jack enjoying a beautiful day hunting for pheasant in a local field. Jack is always eager to please and has a strong hunt drive as well as a sweet disposition. He's come along very well for us thanks to his natural ability and guidance from Michael and Bill.

We were given this picture recently by our veterinarian. It is from 1988 and was taken at the then West River Pet Hospital which is now known as Great Lakes Veterinary Complex. From left to right: Kate (4yrs old), Bill and Michael (6yrs old) Jackson. The dogs are, left to right, Rocky and Jodie.
